The design is simple and a bit similar to the barn is typical of this Contemporary Live / Work House that called Rolled Roof House, designed by Katsutoshi Sasaki. From the outside it looks like a barn house of course but if you look into this house, you’ll be greeted by a beautiful interior design and feel alive. Surely this house will provide comfort in work or relax to its owner. This contemporary live / work home in Nikko, Tochigi by Japanese architect Katsutoshi Sasaki artfully balances essential to life with a modern aesthetic, all in a compact 1752 sq m of space-.-. This structure houses a small family home, but sweet and a beauty salon, all in his two-story structure. The pentagon-shaped house is covered with a sloping roof extending from the innovative high along the side of the house, folding and rolling to the right in his body – an unusual feature that can be seen from a side profile. A wall of windows is under the sloping roof, which has a series of 13 cuts that turn into several windows, doors and skylights. The interiors are a clean and modern with light wood, white walls, natural light and an upper loft overlooking the living room and living spaces below. Katsutoshi Sasaki
